I’m always testing and trying out new plug-ins, techniques, scripts, etc. just to figure out what works and what doesn’t. If you’re a frequent visitor to The Success Center then you may have noticed the orange bar at the bottom. It’s officially called a Wibiya bar which is supposed to help increase web traffic and reader engagement of a blog. It’s currently in beta testing so you’ll have to sign-up to receive a beta key before you try it out.

There are some things I like about it such as the Facebook integration, Twitter integration, multiple language support, and even how it allows you to navigate through the blog’s content. These are all nice features, but there are a couple of things I don’t like, such as how the bar falls behind videos and certain images on the page. Wibiya said that they’re about to release a fix for this common issue so we’ll see how it performs in the near future.

I’ve only had the bar installed since the weekend and already there are a few people that have joined the Facebook community. And, I’m getting a few stats in such as RSS subscriptions, searches, translations, etc. Bad thing is, the stats don’t show you who actually clicked on what it just gives a general “impression” count (or at least that’s what I assume it is for now.) It’d be nice to have some in-depth analysis of how the bar is performing. But that’s beside the point of this post. The bar is really for you guys (and gals) that make this blog-a-zine what it is. I want to make sure that whatever I include is something that will really benefit the entire community. So, here is your opportunity to tell me if the Wibiya bar should be kept or should I send it on it’s merry little way?
