Weblinks Galore!
If there’s one thing I personally don’t know . . . it’s “everything.” Therefore, I wanted to share a couple of my favorite website links that can help you learn, “everything.” Well . . . maybe not everything, but at least enough to get you going in the right direction. If you enjoy these links, maybe I’ll start doing this on a regular basis with different categories and such. For today I’ll start with Small Business & Marketing. Below you’ll find 10 great resources to help you in your business, venture, or project. Enjoy!
- Guide to Finding Industry Events and Conferences – Great list of links to industry events and conferences by Toni Klym McLellan of Business.com. Check it out, I found it pretty useful.
- Media on Twitter – Wanna connect with hundreds of Television, Film, Radio, and other media professionals on twitter? This is the place to do it!
- Marketing Plans.com – This is PaloAlto Software’s site for their Marketing Plan Pro software. However, there are a lot of great guides on business and marketing planning. They really gave too much info, but hey . . . who’s complaining?
- Small Business TV.com – This is really the first business show that’s totally online. I found out about it some years ago and they’ve been a good resource to connect with. Great shows, good interviews, and very well produced.
- Docstoc.com – This is a community website for uploading and sharing professional documents. Very cool idea. They’ve got business plans, financial plans, even legal documents (some of which are from actual cases from very new cases!). You can also email large documents and share them privately or publicly. Did I mention it’s also free?
- U.S. Copyright Online – Did you know that a thought can legally be copyrighted? Yep, as long as it’s on paper it can be protected by U.S. Copyright laws. So if you’ve got a good one, protect it from being used! Songs, books, art work, etc. can and should be copyrighted. This is the site you want to go to for more info on how.
- U.S. Patent and Trademark Office Online – Got an invention or brand that you want to solidify legally? A trademark or patent is the way to go.
- Websiteoutlook.com – Ever wonder how much your domain name is worth? Well, now you can find out in less than a minute! This is a handy tool if you’re a reseller of web domain names. Just put in your web address and it tells you approximately how much the site is worth in dollars, daily/monthly traffic, and other useful information.
- Dim Dim.com – In their own words, Dim Dim delivers synchronized live presentations, whiteboards and web pages while sharing your voice and video over the Internet – with no download. Pretty cool stuff huh?
- Eventbrite.com – Got a seminar, conference, or event? Then Event Brite can help you manage, promote and sell-out your events.
Hope you find these links as helpful as I have. If you have small business or marketing resources you would like to share please do so in the comments section below. (One rule: if your link doesn’t go to where you say it’s supposed to go, or if it points to anything malicious, you will be flagged as a spammer and banned. Don’t be lame people!) Have a good holiday weekend!
