Valerie Daniels-Carter

What will it take for your dreams to be heard? How will you stand apart from millions who you may compete with? Who can you trust? These are all questions that you may ask yourself when trying to take your business to the next level. So what should you do?

One tip from Valerie Daniels-Carter is to pick up the gun and learn how to shoot it, you have to be bold to be heard. Daniels-Carter sacrificed until she accumulated enough money to move her business in the right direction, which led to 137 food-service franchises worth $90 million.

Daniels-Carter made sacrifices such as putting down her life savings to raise capital for her business deal, proceeded to progress when she heard hundreds of no’s, sold her luxury car, and limited her spending. “You can be the most intelligent person in the world, but if you don’t have access, it’s very difficult to get ahead, so you have to create access” say Daniels-Carter.

Are you creating access to reach your dreams? What moves are you making to position yourself for success? Your comments . . . priceless!

  • Great story. What is so inspirational is that she believed so strongly in what she was doing that she put everything she had on the line. In addition, she was able to sacrifice her spending patterns in order to have access to the bigger picture. Faith, sacrifice, and perseverance: great ingredients for long-term success!

Hey, Steve, I loved her story as well. I definitely took away her drive and
determination and will look to her as I continue on my own journey toward
    success.
  • Yolanda,

Good post! Butr I must admit: I wish you had delved deeper into HOW Ms. Carter made here her fortune

i have worked for Mrs carter for over 3 yrs and i have a couple of things to say about V&J foods. The part that she always uses about treating her employees good and taking care of them is not what V&J does. The top management of her company JD has done so much stuff to the management directors and employees that is totally uncalled for .mrs carter is either aware of that JD does or she is not and i wish that she would open her eyes and realize how much more success and money she would make if she got rid of jd and a few others that have probably lied and made the business less good and less money

Small world. I live in the same city as Valerie Daniels-Carter. Use to live right across the alley from her and her mom.

She is indeed an excellent role model for women in business...particularly Chrisitian women!

Hey, Daphne, it really is a small world! How cool is that? She has definitely inspired me! Thanks for sharing.
